K so as you can see, I was finally able to figure out how to do my family picture!! *go me!*
So for the last week I have been diligently working on my Christmas presents, and was finally able to finish the first batch of them!! *so excited* But now I face a problem, I can't upload pictures of them yet because then they may be seen by those that they have been made for. What to do, what to do? I have to say, I am a bit saddened by this. For those of you that know me, you know that I LOVE to "show-off" my latest creations! And I am super excited about the way these turned out, and am actually prepared to start another batch of these tonight. :)
Speaking of things that need to be done tonight... this year we have decided that we would make our oldest sons costume. (low and behold, I am having problems with my pictures!) (ARG) Anyhow, he is going to be a robot! Old school style!! Dryer vent and all! It is turning out great, and we can't wait to finish it. Thanks to my wonderful husband, this robot is gonna rock! He takes my ideas and runs with them! I will upload a picture as soon as my computer will cooperate!

Week 2

Well this is the second week of my blog, and as you can probably tell, I still haven't really got this whole "blog" thing down yet. :) But practice makes perfect right? Trying to figure out how to upload a picture of my oh-so-cute family, but..... ? Soon. I have figured out how to "pin" stuff to pinterest.com. :) Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE pinterest.com??

love my Cricut!

Love my Cricut!

Love this project! And very cheap! :) $3.00 of vinyl, 6 frames from the DI (spray painted black) Other than access to a Cricut, (My darling Husband bought me one! <3) and the use of different cartridges (courtesy of the bestest friends, and bestest friends moms) This is all ya need! Choose your fonts and GO! Super simple.
For those of you that have seen the Cricut on t.v. and are scared of it because, "there is no way it is that simple!" or "someone like me could never figure that thing out!!" have I got news for you. It really is  that simple! I jumped on it the day I got it and didn't even have to read the directions, and I was "Cricutting" in no time at all. And, once AGAIN, I had a new addiction! :)

Flex pumpkins

Final product.

Start with different sizes of flex pipe, wrap it around, and tuck it into itself.

Orange, white, brown and green spray paints! And a stick for the stem! DONE :)
The best thing about these is that at the end of the season, you can fold them down and put them away to use next year.

Place one pumpkin on top of the top piece of wood, hammer nail through the top of the pumpkin into the top of the wood.
Pull pant legs up the two bottom pieces (legs) and attach with another nail.
Place shoes on bottom of legs can tie on or attach with more nails.
Place the sheet over the top of the first pumpkin, so that it drapes over the figure. And cut it about the height you want it. Draw in pencil where you want the face. Remove the sheet and draw face with a black marker. Then glue it back in place.
Attach second pumpkin pail to the jeans with a safety pin and DONE!!
Hope you enjoy this as much as we do!
